Starter Kit

Contains alfalfa seed, 2 pieces sprout netting, 2 rubber bands. Just add a jar and water.


Alfalfa Seed

We think our organically grown seed makes a tastier sprout than conventionally grown seed.


Amaranth, White - out of stock.        
Add to basketBasket
Tiny seeds, great sprouted for just a couple of days and used in salads or baking. Can also be ground for amaranth flour. Certified organic OTCO (Oregon Tilth).


Ancient Eastern Blend

Contains Fenugreek, Lentils, Kamut, Adzuki beans.


Arugula (Roquette)

Can be used as 5% of a mix or less, or grow it on unbleached paper towel or baby blanket for tangy cuttings-certified organic CSI


Hulless Barley

This is a type of barley that grows without hulls. It can be ground for flour or sprouted as short sprouts.
It can be used in soups, like pot barley. It will also produce acceptable, but not great, barley grass.
(Barley with hulls is best if growing barley grass)

Broccoli Brassica Blend

Contains Broccoli, Broccoli Raab, Canola, Radish, Mustard, Arugula. Healthy and crisp addition to sandwiches and salads.


Broccoli

Broccoli sprouts have been proven by John's Hopkins University to contain many times the cancer fighting sulforaphanes of mature broccoli.

Buckwheat (hulls on)

Best grown on unbleached paper towel or baby blanket or tray with water for mild lettuce-like cuttings.

***NOTE: information as of August 20, 04 - There is some information indicating that buckwheat shoots in large quantities may cause a reversible photosensitization that includes uncomfortable symptoms. We are currently recommending moderate consumption of buckwheat shoots, and complete avoidance if any light sensitivity occurs.

Cabbage, Red

Crimson Clover

Red Clover

The sprouts are similar to alfalfa, but easier to grow and a mild-sweet flavour.


Curly Cress

Sprouts best on unbleached paper towel or baby blanket, harvest as cuttings. It can also be used as 5% or less of a mix.


Fennel seed

Mild liquorice/anise taste.
Sprout like alfalfa, but for about 10 days.


Fenugreek Seed

Large vigorous sprouts with an unusual flavour. Fenugreek is a traditional herb for colds and flu.


Brown Flax Seed

We include this more for baking or other uses than for sprouting. It's difficult to sprout (unbleached paper towel baby blanke or unglazed clay) and bitter when sprouted. We like to include it in baking or grind (blender) fresh and add to breakfast food, salads, etc.


Garbanzo Beans (medium white)

Make a nice snack when sprouted for about 3 days, or can be sprouted and cooked for hummus etc.


Garlic Chives

Certified QAI. Take about ten days to sprout fully. Wonderful fresh garlic flavour, great mixed with other seeds.
Can be sprouted like alfalfa or grown for cuttings on unbleached paper towel or baby blanket.


Kamut® grain

Big attractive kernels. Grow short sprouts or grass. It can also be ground as flour or cooked whole as a rice substitute.


French Green Lentils

Beautiful dark green speckled lentil. Make a nice snack when sprouted for about 3 days, or can be sprouted and cooked.


Large Green Lentils

Small Crimson Lentils

Beautiful salmon coloured sprouts. Make a nice snack when sprouted for about 3 days, or can be sprouted and cooked. An attractive addition to salads.


Black lentils

Shiny black lentils, a favourite of Mark Braunstein, author of The Sprout Garden.


Small Green Lentils

Mung Beans

Grow Chinese bean sprouts, or use for short sprouts. Should be grown in the dark to prevent bitterness.


Brown Mustard

Hot, but a nice addition to sandwiches or salads.


Oriental Mustard

Hot! - for hot mustard lovers, but a nice addition to sandwiches or salads. Great in a cheese sandwich.


Hulless Oats

These grow without hulls, so they aren't damaged or killed by dehulling. Use for short sprouts, oatgrass, milling, rolled oats, or cook as a high protein rice substitute.


Onion Seed - OUT OF STOCK

Dwarf Grey Sugar Peas

Speckled Sprouting Peas
