Hulless Barley

This is a type of barley that grows without hulls. It can be ground for flour or sprouted as short sprouts.
It can be used in soups, like pot barley. It will also produce acceptable, but not great, barley grass. .
(Barley with hulls is best if growing barley grass)

***NOTE: new information as of August 20, 04 - There is some information indicating that buckwheat shoots in large quantities may cause a reversible photosensitization that includes uncomfortable symptoms. We are currently recommending moderate consumption of buckwheat shoots, and complete avoidance if any light sensitivity occurs.

Fenugreek Seed

Large vigorous sprouts with an unusual flavour. Fenugreek is a traditional herb for colds and flu.


Brown Flax Seed

We include this more for baking or other uses than for sprouting. It's difficult to sprout (soil, paper towel, or unglazed clay work best) and somewhat bitter when sprouted. We like to include it in baking or grind (blender) fresh and add to breakfast food, salads, etc.


Garbanzo Beans

Make a nice snack when sprouted for about 3 days, or can be sprouted and cooked for hummus etc.


Garlic Chives.

Certified CCPB. Take about ten days to sprout fully. Wonderful fresh garlic flavour, great mixed with other seeds. They can be grown thickly in soil, and cut for fresh greens more than once.


Kamut® grain

Big attractive kernels. Grow short sprouts or grass. It can also be ground as flour or cooked whole as a rice substitute. (Contains about 3% barley with hulls.)


French Green Lentils
